Microgrid becomes a new choiceGlobal Meter Information Station Report: Smart grids can achieve two way interaction between users and the power grid, allowing access to small and mediumsized power sources in the grid. The electricity generated by users' own solar generators and other equipment can not only be used for themselves, but also be connected to the power grid for others to use. Recently, several power supply companies in the Netherlands have made a new attempt: they have combined 25 households into a small power grid and equipped these households with electric heating systems composed of solar panels and high-energy boilers, hybrid heat pumps, and even electric vehicles. The electricity bills of users are charged based on the readings of the smart meters they install. The experimental report shows that such an operation is beneficial for optimizing the use of energy and reducing the burden on the power grid. This method, which consists of several households forming an independent power grid, may become a priority choice for providing stable electricity to households in the future. Developed countries in Europe, such as the UK, France, Germany, etc., have shifted their plans to use distributed power generation such as wind power, solar energy, and micro (small) gas turbines fueled by natural gas to gradually replace currently operating large-scale thermal and nuclear power plants, and become the main means of power supply in the future, improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental pollution. Microgrid technology is playing an increasingly important role in power technology. Although China faces many challenges in the development of microgrids, with the changes in fuel structure and the increasing power load during peak periods, it is necessary to accelerate the development of microgrid technology, optimize power supply modes, and ensure power supply safety. Furthermore, from the perspective of sustainable development and reducing environmental pollution, microgrids are also an inevitable choice for China. Overall, whether from the perspective of national energy strategy and energy market, or from the perspective of user demand and electricity market, microgrids provide an ideal technology and market integration solution. |
